Meet the Editors
Events Coordinator & Commissioning Editor
Aubrey Welches is a Senior studying English & Writing with a minor in Psychology. She aspires to be a fiction author and book couch after graduation. This is Aubrey's first semester semester working at Crossings and joined because she wanted to feel prepared for an editing job. She also hopes to hone her editing and craft skills to prepare for a future career.
Content Creator
Kyle Moorer is a 5th year student and is studying Liberal Arts with a minor in Psychology. After graduation Kyle is interested in working either as a Social Worker or in Photography. Kyle joined Crossings to share emotions with the readers that come from pen and paper. This is his first semester working on Crossings and is a Content Creator.
Co-Managing Editor
Julie Monesmith is one of our Co-Managing Editors and this is her first semester at Crossings. She is also a double major in Psychology and English & Writing. Julie joined Crossings because she loves the mission and creative writing, and wants to help others be able to access it easier and inspire them to the fullest capacity.
Developmental Editor & Content Creator
Trinity Sabie is a Junior and is a Developmental Editor & Content Creator here at Crossings. She is studying English & Writing and this is her first semester working on the Crossings. Trinity joined because she loves reading and writing and wanted to do something that aligns with her post graduation aspirations. She is hoping to hone her editing skills to look at short stories with a fair eye.
Commissioning Editor & Content Creator
Rachel Michalik is a sophomore and is double majoring in English & Writing and Christian Ministry. Rachel is one of our Commissioning Editors and a Content Creator and this is her first semester working at The Crossings. She joined because she loves writing and wanted to work with others to share students stories and voices. She is hoping to gain more experience with publishing and grow her writing and editing skills.
Developmental & Commissioning Editor
Keira Steinberg is a Senior studying History and aspires to do museum/archival/research work. Keira is one of our Developmental & Commissioning Editors, and this is her first semester working at Crossings. She joined to become more immersed in the publishing process here at Bethel and hopes to get more exposure to fellow writers, and experience the creative and publishing world on a small scale.
Co-Managing Editor
Lydia Trowbridge is a Sophomore studying English & Writing. She started The Crossings in the Fall of '24 as Commissioning Editor & Content Creator. Now, she has assumed the role of Co-Managing Editor. Lydia enjoyed her experience last year and is excited to continue pursuing work experience.
Faculty Advisor
Jennifer earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Ashland University in 2012. She has been the faculty advisor for The Crossings since 2013, and has been teaching in the Literature & Language Department at Bethel University since 2008.
