Welcome to
THE CROSSINGS
The Crossings is a literary journal for college students run by students at Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN. Alongside our print editions, we publish works by fellow students, including many genres of creative writing, dramas, and media reviews. We also post student interviews, visual art, and other creative content.
Who We Are
We strive to be honest in pain, seek beauty in life, create space for dialogue, and bring honor to the Lord.
At The Crossings, we believe that the Lord speaks through us in beauty and pain, abundance and need, joy and sorrow, answers and questions. We explore the aesthetic beauty in merging the nature of ourselves with literary and visual arts.
We accept various genres from fiction to non-fiction, dramas, and stage and book reviews. We also encourage the contribution of visual art.

Letter from the Editors
At The Crossings, we believe art created in both pain and joy brings glory to the Lord. Creativity serves as an avenue of expression and growth as well as a safe space to tackle uncomfortable topics. Exploring our own creativity allows us to better understand ourselves, others, and our relationship with the Lord. We hope to be a place of rest, encouragement, development, and aesthetic beauty as you explore the creativity within these pages.
We hope you will consider sharing your art with us, written or visual. If you prefer to observe, we hope you enjoy our variety of published submissions.
In awe of what words can do,
